Over the course of his 30-year career, Art Wolfe has photographed on every continent and in numerous locations. His stunning images interpret and record the world’s fast-disappearing wildlife, landscapes and native cultures, and are a lasting inspiration to those who seek to preserve them all. His photographs are recognized throughout the world for their mastery of color, composition and perspective. His unique approach to nature photography is based on his training in the arts and his love of the environment.

Iconic Images International has arranged for this world-renowned photographer to visit Australia in March 2012. Following Australia he will present a series of seminars and workshops in South Africa in conjunction with Iconic Images International and C4 Images & Safaris.

In Australia, Art Wolfe will present a series of public lectures and one-day workshops in Sydney, Melbourne & Perth.

PUBLIC LECTURE – BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH:  A multi-media presentation.
This unforgettable presentation centres on the Himalaya region and reflects Art Wolfe’s most personal statement to date.  Between Heaven and Earth is a grand adventure tracing Art Wolfe’s formative years and development as an artist. Following a life-changing experience in Asia, the presentation centers on the Himalaya region of India, China, Nepal and Bhutan – locations that triggered his imagination and wonder towards a path of blending his creativity and art with photography while documenting the wild world. In its entirety, including photographs and video, the lecture will run for over two hours.

WORKSHOP – THE ART OF COMPOSITION
If you have associated Art Wolfe solely with nature photography please be prepared for an unforgettable revelation. Drawing from 36 years of international travel, Art Wolfe will delve into a vast range of subjects; from discovering the subject to elements of design and newer works. Imagery of nature, wildlife, and the world’s varied landscapes and cultures will augment the lectures to provide the most comprehensive and imaginative and inspiring photographic tuition available.
Utilizing his formal training as a fine art painter and art education instructor, Art Wolfe will dissect visual image examples and explore in depth what makes a compelling and emotionally engaging photograph.
Attendees will come away inspired and with tangible ideas and approaches for taking their photography to fresh and inspired levels.

HOW TO REGISTER
All prices are in AUD$s. The cost of each event, is payable in full, on registration.
You may use Visa or MasterCard, or PayPal. First select the event (lecture or workshop) and using the small arrow select the city, then click the “Buy Now” button and follow the prompts. Use exactly the same procedure for each person you wish to register as it is not possible to register more than one person at a time.
Following each payment for an event you will automatically receive a seperate PayPal-generated receipt.

The PayPal receipt is also your confirmation of registration; please retain it in a safe place and take it with you to the relevant event. To gain entry to an event for which you registered you will be required to present the relevant receipt.

WHAT TO TAKE ALONG TO THE LECTURE &/OR WORKSHOP

  1. You may bring your camera equipment but you will not be required to use it, during the lectures or workshops.
  2. Please ensure you take along the individual PayPal receipt(s) you received following your registration(s). This receipt is your “Entry Ticket” for each event you booked.
  3. Art Wolfe does not provide “handout material” at any of his presentations around the world so please bring a notebook and pen as I am sure many of you will wish to retain a record of the valuable information Art will freely and generously share with you.
  4. An open mind, willing to be influenced, educated, uplifted and inspired by one of the most extraordinary photographers alive today.

Please use the Flinders Lane entry door to the Spring Street Conference Centre, Melbourne, as the theatre is just up a few steps and to the right, inside this entry.

CANCELLATION POLICY & FURTHER INFORMATION
Following registration, should you find, for some unexpected reason, you are unable to attend the event(s) for which you registered, a refund of fees, less an administration fee of 5%, will be made, providing we receive written notification of your cancellation, no later than ten (10) calendar days before the date of the event(s) you cannot attend.
